Services
Our Services
At Animal Hospital of Hollister, we are your local veterinary team that provides an array of services. Through all the stages of your pet's life, having a trusted professional for top-notch care is essential for long-term health and well-being.
Puppy and Kitten Care
We get your cat and dog started off in the right direction to ensure proper growth and development. Our puppy and kitten services include:
Regular checkups in the first few weeks/months of life
Starting and keeping a vaccination schedule
Tips for house training, diet, and nutrition
Vaccinations
Vaccinating your pet is crucial at different life stages. Vaccines help prevent the spread of infectious diseases that can become life-threatening. Our veterinary team can help if you have a new puppy or kitten, or if you need to re-establish a vaccination schedule for older pets. Vaccines are proven to save pet lives and keep your pet happy.
Comprehensive Exams
One of the best ways to ensure your pet is staying on track is with a routine examination. A nose-to-tail exam, along with a screening of the major organs like the heart and lungs ensures your pet stays healthy. At least a yearly visit is recommended so our veterinarian can provide proper intervention if needed.
Emergency Vet Care
There are times when your pet needs to see a veterinarian for immediate care. Some of the reasons for emergency visits include difficulty breathing, exposure to dangerous toxins (foods, medicines, household items), inability to walk, excessive bleeding, seizures, wounds, heat exhaustion, and more.
Orthopedic Care
We help with all necessary services that involve the skeletal system, joints, or muscles. X-rays and bloodwork can be utilized before performing orthopedic surgery that may be needed for bone fractures, dislocations, and torn ligaments.
Pet Dental Care
Proper dental exams and cleanings are imperative for healthy gums and teeth along with overall well-being. Pets can develop periodontal disease as early as three years of age. Routine cleanings utilizing general anesthesia allow our vet to clean thoroughly, including under the gum line where periodontal disease often begins. Polishing the teeth is also done to prevent further plaque buildup.
